It is non profit organization and enables us:

• To participate in the political process by raising funds for candidates for statewide offices.
• To promote active participation of pharmacists in government affairs.
• To increase the political clout of organized pharmacy.

Joining the RXPAC helps PSSNY to develop close relationships with legislators and gets Pharmacy’s concerns on their radar. Having a well-funded PAC gives us the opportunity to make a difference in the political process.  If our voices are not heard, our concerns will never be addressed.   Ensure your legislator does not only hear from the other side.

During current two year political cycle, pharmacists and pharmacy owners throughout New York  have contributed approximately $130,000 to RxPAC. These funds were distributed to candidates running for s NYS Senate and Assembly, and other statewide elected offices. RxPAC funds are managed carefully by the PAC Chairman and PAC Board to maximize political clout for Pharmacy.

According to NYS Election Law, the Annual Political Contribution Limits are:

• NYS Corporations - up to a total of $5,000;
• Individual Citizens - up to a total of $150,000;
• PACs - no cap on total annual contributions, but PACs must submit periodic financial reports with the NYS Board of Elections.

Because your professional opinion is so valued by members of the public, political power is in your grasp. The Political Action Committee (PAC) is your avenue to use that power.

It’s time to turn the tables and flex your substantial political muscles. 2024 is an election year. Every state Senator and Assembly member is running. Want him/her to visit your pharmacy and listen to your concerns? Then, we are asking you to do the following:

• Be aware of the issues at hand that are affecting your profession
